This manuscript is a treasure trove of language and grammar, reflecting its author’s mastery of methodology, authorship, determination, and dedication. Sheikh Al-Asami – may Allah have mercy on him – derived the idea for this treatise from those who preceded him in this field, particularly the renowned scholar Sheikh Abdul Qahir bin Abdul Rahman Al-Jurjani. Al-Jurjani’s well-known treatise, The Hundred Grammatical Factors, discusses grammatical factors, categorizing them into verbal auditory, verbal analogical, and semantic factors, ultimately reaching a total of one hundred factors. This treatise gained widespread acceptance among scholars who embraced it, adding commentaries, annotations, and creative contributions. Many of its explanations, ranging from concise to extensive, have survived and been studied by researchers, while others remain locked away in library shelves, awaiting the collaborative efforts of dedicated scholars to bring them to light.
The book itself is simple and accessible, serving as an educational resource. It reflects the author’s deliberate approach to scholarly writing. His works include Al-Tuhfa Al-Sunniyah, a commentary on Al-Ajurumiyyah, an explanation of Qatr Al-Nada, a commentary on Shudhur Al-Dhahab, and a treatise on grammatical factors. All his writings are characterized by clarity and scientific simplicity.
